Christina Zhu is a co-head of Spencer Stuart’s Greater China region and the office manager in Beijing and Shanghai. She brings extensive corporate leadership and consulting experience across the industrial, healthcare, professional service and private equity industry to help clients in senior leadership appointments, assessment and development.

Extensive industrial and private equity expertise

  • Before joining Spencer Stuart, Christina led the Greater China industrial practice and was a core member of the CFO practice for another leading executive search firm.
  • Previously, Christina served as China development director at CRH, a global building materials company, where she was mainly responsible for corporate strategy and M&A activities in China. She also spent three years at the company’s headquarters in Europe, investigating investment opportunities there.
  • In an earlier role at Express Scripts, the largest pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) in the United States, Christina designed healthcare services and developed business relationships with various Chinese healthcare system stakeholders.
  • Christina also did a five-year stint as a consultant at Bain & Company, working with clients on a variety of strategic and operational assignments.

Christina earned a B.A. from Nanjing University in China, before completing an M.B.A. in finance (with honors) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese.
