Brian J. Ruggeberg is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services practice. He has more than 25 years of executive coaching experience, focusing his work on leadership development, career development, teamwork, interpersonal dynamics and behavioral change.

Leadership assessment, development and executive coaching

  • Brian has served as an executive coach, assessment professional, training facilitator and development expert for a clients in a range of industry sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, government, technology, telecom, finance, insurance, manufacturing, hospitality/restaurant, education, transportation and utilities. He consults on both personal and organizational performance, with deep expertise in leadership assessment and development, and the design and implementation of assessment programs, training, succession management and performance management/appraisal systems.
  • Brian was most recently a managing director of the leadership assessment and development practice of Kincentric, a Spencer Stuart company.
  • He previously worked at Aon Consulting, where he served as the talent enablement leader for talent practice, the co-leader of the national staffing and development group, and the Northeast regional practice leader for the human capital practice.

Brian graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in psychology from Cornell College and earned an M.S. in psychology and a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Old Dominion University. He is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Society for Industrial-Organization Psychology (SIOP) and was the 2002-2003 president of the Metropolitan New York Association of Applied Psychology (METRO). He is also a founding member of the I/O corporate advisory board for Hofstra University and the corporate advisory board for Farmingdale State College SUNY. He has contributed to various book chapters and journal articles, and has conducted more than 70 presentations at professional conferences.
