Based in New York, Peter Hodkinson is a member of the firm’s Financial Services and Technology Officer practices. He has 18 years of experience advising companies on leadership topics, with a focus on technology, engineering, information security and general management of technology-centric businesses in the financial sector. At Spencer Stuart, he has a broad client base across industries in North America, Asia-Pac, Europe and South America.
Global experience with market depth
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Peter worked for a boutique search firm with offices in London, New York, Hong Kong and Switzerland, most recently as co-leader of the firm’s business in the Americas and as leader of the technology practice. He secured and delivered mandates for executive searches and market analysis projects in capital markets, asset and wealth management, market infrastructure, payments and retail banking.
- He began his career in search with another boutique retained search firm in London as a researcher and was quickly promoted to consultant. He spent five years there focused on technology searches, mainly in the financial sector.
- Before his career in search, Peter lived in Japan for two years and held an export development role in Ireland.
Peter earned an M.A. in economics and politics from the University of Edinburgh and has a post-graduate qualification with distinction in marketing from the University of Ulster. He has varying degrees of proficiency in French, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese.
