Philiep Dedrijvere leads Spencer Stuart’s Marketing and Sales Officer Practice in EMEA, bringing a deep expertise in elevating the strategic impact of the marketing function. Philiep is also a core member of Spencer Stuart’s global Consumer Practice, with consumer products as his primary area of focus. He brings years of experience working for consumer goods companies across Europe on board and C-level assignments for CEOs, presidents, chief marketing and commercial officers.

  • Philiep is an acknowledged expert in the consumer industry with more than 30 years of experience. He is passionate about working with consumer goods clients to discover, attract and develop the best talent from around the world to build diverse, engaged and high-performing leadership teams. Over the past decade, he has led a series of high-profile searches and internal successions across a broad range of board and senior management positions for leading multinationals, private equity-backed and family-owned companies.
  • Philiep also brings deep functional expertise in marketing. He has led a series of high-profile searches for clients seeking marketing leaders who can partner with their Executive Committee peers on business strategy development to drive marketing-led value creation for all stakeholders. He has co-authored several articles on effective marketing leadership and is a frequent guest speaker on the profile of Growth CMO’s.
  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Philiep worked at another international executive search firm as a senior client partner in their global consumer practice and their global marketing center of expertise within Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
  • Prior to executive search, Philiep held a variety of marketing and general management roles for more than two decades at Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Coca-Cola.

Philiep received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago and a Master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Antwerp. He speaks fluent Dutch, English and French. Philiep is a fellow and elected member of the Belgian American Educational Foundation, the leading independent philanthropy, in support of exchanging university students and scholars between the U.S. and Belgium.
