Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Johannes was a managing partner at jwc Beteiligungs GmbH, where he worked as an independent investor in startup companies and as an adviser on international restructuring projects.
Previously, Johannes served on the cabinet of the Austrian vice chancellor and finance minister, advising on economic and financial affairs, and establishing and strengthening ties with industrial leaders. Before joining the cabinet, Johannes was MD Foreign Investments Cargo of the ÖBB Group, the Austrian railroad company.
After starting his career in the European Parliament as assistant to the Austrian Delegation, Johannes was a division manager for Ernst & Young, and later a partner and director at Deloitte Consulting.
Johannes earned a doctorate in business administration from Johannes-Kepler-University, and a master’s degree in philosophy/theology from the University of Vienna. He is fluent in German and English, with working knowledge of Italian and French.
