Jaime Gil-Casares leads the firm’s Barcelona and Madrid offices. He brings senior-level experience to the firm’s Healthcare, Financial Services, Real Estate and Private Equity practices, having worked as a CEO and entrepreneur. With nearly 20 years of international experience ranging across several sectors, Jaime focuses on senior-level executive search.
Senior-level leadership in biotech and real estate
- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Jaime was co-founder of IMMED and co-CEO of Biolty and Biotools, Madrid-based biotech companies devoted to research, strategy, consulting and financial advising. Jaime led the company’s fundraising efforts, helping to finance new deals and acquisitions.
- Previously, Jaime co-founded a premium beer company in Madrid, working in every part of the process, from leading the initial funding to creating a distribution network to helping craft the beer’s five recipes.
- Prior to that position, Jaime worked for Grupo Lar, leading the company’s German operations. He also coordinated the IPO of the company’s REIT, Lar España, raising 400 million euros from investors.
- Jaime started his career at JPMorgan, where he spent five years in the asset management business.
Jaime graduated from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid with a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in financial studies, and holds an M.B.A. from Duke University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
