Dr. Dieter Unterharnscheidt is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Frankfurt office and leads the Financial Officer Practice in Germany. Dieter is also a member of the firm's Industrial and Energy practices. He brings deep expertise of the energy industry to his role and recruits candidates for upper management-level positions. Dieter and his team also seek and recruit finance executives for all industries. Clients include international corporations, medium-sized companies and family-owned firms. Additionally, he conducts searches for various top-notch business, sales, marketing and production positions across a range of industries.
Industry and leadership experience
- Dieter joined Spencer Stuart in 2004. He began his executive search career in 1996 at another international recruitment firm.
- Before this, Dieter was a managing director in the investment banking sector at Bankhaus Metzler.
- He started his professional career as a management consultant in investment banking and corporate finance at MP Consult in 1987 and then joined Matuschka Group. He oversaw numerous international M&A transactions and company finance operations.
Dieter completed a banking apprenticeship and then studied business administration at the University of Frankfurt, and subsequently obtained his doctorate, graduating as Dr. rer. pol.
