Bernhard is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice and co-leads the firm’s North American and Europe, Middle East and African Telecommunications Practice. He specializes in recruiting senior-level executives for a wide range of clients, including leading multinational corporations, midsized private equity-backed companies and venture-funded growth companies. He is also a member of the firm’s Business, Professional & IT Services Practice.
Global industry, consulting and executive search experience
- Bernhard works with clients across the technology industry, including mobile and wireline, SaaS, cyber security, infrastructure software and hardware, and business services. He has conducted a wide range of executive searches with a focus on CEO, board director, and C-level assignments, and he also advises organizations on leadership succession, organizational structure and cultural transformation.
- Bernhard joined Spencer Stuart from A.T. Kearney, where he was a principal and a leader in the firm’s North American communications and high-tech practice. He also worked for the firm in Europe and Asia Pacific.
- Prior to joining A.T. Kearney, Bernhard was a management consultant with Gemini Consulting and held financial leadership positions with IBM in Europe.
Bernhard holds an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Graz and studied at the Université Paris IX Dauphine and the University of Exeter. He is fluent in German, English and French and speaks conversational Spanish.
