The C-Suite Moves East: Asia's New Place in the Corporate World

Tim Hoffman
2008年9月

The Asia Pacific region is quickly gaining strategic importance for global technology companies. In response, some are now relocating C-suite executives and even global business units to the region. To examine this emerging trend, Spencer Stuart's Technology, Communications & Media Practice surveyed more than 200 C-level executives of global technology corporations and conducted in-depth interviews with Asia-based C-suite executives whose companies have moved business units to the region. The resulting article illuminates the reasons companies have made the move, the challenges they have faced in doing so, and the long-term implications for all global technology companies of Asia’s ever-growing importance to international business.
