慶応義塾大学法学部卒
1983 年株式会社トーメン入社。合計 5 年間の米国滞在を含め、 16 年間一貫して産業機械の北米・アジア向け輸出及び国内販売に従事。包装機械、印刷機械、紙加工機械、金属プレス機械、食品機械、医療機器、等広範囲に亘る各種産業機械を担当。
1999 年米国 NASDAQ 企業の日本法人の代表取締役に転身。 Factory Automation （ FA ）業界にて電子電気部品及び産業用ネットワーク製品の販売に約１０年間従事。工作機械、自動車製造ライン、ロボット、半導体設備、 FA 機器等の製造メーカーが主な顧客となる。 2005 年同グループのアジア太平洋地域の責任者として日本、中国、韓国、東南アジア諸国でのビジネス拡大に貢献。
スペンサースチュアートでは、インダストリアルを担当。
Masaki Igarashi, a consultant in the Tokyo office, is a member of the firm’s Industrial Practice. He has more than 26 years of rich industrial experience, including overseas assignments and regional general management.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Masaki was the Asia Pacific sales director for a Chicago-based, NASDAQ-listed firm in the factory automation field. Originally hired as the representative director of Japan, he was eventually promoted to oversee the firm’s operations in China, Korea and Southeast Asia, as well. During his 10 years with the company, his major customers included producers of machine tools, automotive manufacturing lines, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and robotics.
Masaki began his career at Tomen Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses. Over his 16 years there, he engaged in import, export and domestic sales of industrial machinery, including equipment for packaging, printing, paper converting, metal pressing, medical and food and beverage production. His time at Tomen included international roles in Denver, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Masaki holds a bachelor of law degree from Keio University.
