Henrik Maartensson leads Spencer Stuart's Industrial Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is based in the firm's Brussels office. Additionally, he serves as global practice leader for the firm’s Supply Chain Practice, and also specializes in transportation & third-party logistics searches.
His search work within the global Supply Chain Practice focuses on recruiting senior executives in procurement, manufacturing and operations, logistics and distribution, customer service and enterprise supply chain management roles across industries. Within the Industrial Practice he focuses on all senior executive roles in the transportation, shipping & third-party logistics segments.
Since joining Spencer Stuart, Henrik has recruited general management and supply chain executives for both public and private equity-backed companies. Clients include leading international companies such as Adidas, Cargill, Ceva Logistics, Deutsche Post DHL, Electrolux, Goodyear, Heinz, Hexion, Kone, LM Glasfiber, Maersk, Molnlycke Health Care, TNT and Vestas.
Henrik brings to Spencer Stuart 20 years of working experience in the transportation and logistics industry. He has worked for companies such as Danzas, Deutsche Post and DHL, where he held managerial positions in general management, business development and sales and operations, across Europe and Asia. In his last role with DHL, he was head of business development and sales for a new business venture offering integrated sourcing, logistics and inventory financing solutions from low-cost countries in Asia.
Henrik holds a degree in logistics from the Danish Freight Forwarders Association, a diploma in management from the Lyngby Business College and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Gallen. He speaks Danish, English and German. Henrik lives in Brussels with his wife, Dorte, and their two daughters, Emma and Alberte.
